Western New Mexico University will host two four-day girl’s volleyball camps July 21-24 and August 4-7, at the Brancheau Athletic and P.E. Complex, in Silver City, New Mexico. The complex features three gymnasiums with nine volleyball courts and a swimming pool.

The camps are designed to maximize contacts for players and to have a lot of fun. The camp is open to players in grade 4 and up, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill levels. The day training sessions will target all individual skills and strategies involved in the game of volleyball. Each of the sessions will also include position-specific training (outside hitter, setter, middle hitter/blocker, defensive specialist, and libero). Evening sessions will include team play. Participants will be grouped to form teams.

The first camp, held July 21-24, is for overnight residents and commuters. The cost is $225 for all overnight participants. This includes all meals and lodging. For commuters, it is $150, which includes lunch and dinner. A $50 non-refundable deposit must accompany each individual camp application. Groups of eight or more receive a team discount.

Camp Two, held from August 4-7, is for commuters only. The cost is $75, which includes lunch only. A $50 non-refundable deposit must also accompany each individual camp application. Groups of eight or more receive a team discount.

Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt.
