Football to Hold Quarterback and Wide Receiver Camp

Come improve your skills with the Mustang coaching staff this summer. Western New Mexico University will host a quarterback and wide receiver camp June 16-17 at Ben Altamirano Stadium from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm both days.

For 7th through 12th graders, the camp is for overnight residents and commuters. The cost of the camp is $100. This includes lunch and a camp t-shirt. Overnight arrangements, at an additional cost, should be made through the football office.

Head coach Bernie Busken brings over 30 years coaching experience with quarterbacks. He has tutored some of the top in the game today, including John Beck of the Miami Dolphins and Max Hall and the starting quarterback at BYU.

Assistant Coaches Ronnie Heard and Marques Reischl will be working with the wide receivers. Heard has worked with perennial all-pros Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens while a member of the San Francisco 49ers. Reischl has been a wide receiver coach at WNMU for last three years and coached the third-leading receiver in the nation this past year, Rod Windsor (Bessemer, AL/Jess Lanier High School).
