Nicholas Earns Third RMAC West Division Player of the Week Award

WNMU's DJ Nicholas (Glendale, AZ/Glendale High School) (Glendale, AZ) received his third RMAC West Division Player of the Week on Monday, the RMAC announced. Nicholas is the lone RMAC player this year to receive this award three times.

Nicholas averaged 22.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 34 minutes in two long road wins against Chadron State and the University of Nebraska - Kearney. He only committed one turnover to his six assists in the road sweep. Nicholas posted 26 points and seven rebounds on Thursday against the Eagles. Two days later against UNK, he added 19 points and 12 caroms to lead the Mustangs in scoring and rebounding both nights. He also led the team in minutes played and blocks. Six of his 19 rebounds were offensive. As a team, the Mustangs shot 47 percent from the floor and 69 percent from the line, but Nicholas shot 60.7 percent (17-28) in field goals and 84.6 percent (11-13) in free throws.
