Stewart Named RMAC West Division Player of the Week

WNMU's Devin Stewart (Tucson, AZ, Santa Rita High School, Saddleback Junior College) was named this week's RMAC West Division Player of the Week on Monday, the RMAC announced.

On Saturday, Stewart capped off a great season with 1:44 left in the first half. He notched 1,000 career points in a win against Adams State. He achieved this in just three seasons with the Mustangs. This week he led the team in points (42), field goal percentage (.682), and assists (12) as Western New Mexico gained two home wins against Fort Lewis and Adams State. Thirty of his 42 points came against the Grizzlies as he sank 11-15 field goals and 7-10 free throws. Stewart averaged 21 points, 3.5 rebounds and six assists in the last weekend of the season.
