Mustangs Tied For Seventh

The Western New Mexico University women's golf team is tied for seventh with the University of Incarnate Word at the Lady Rattler Roundup by St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas.

Glynnis Price (Shiprock, NM, Shiprock High School, University of New Mexico) is tied for 12th place after turning in a 7-over par 78 on the 5,810-yard course. Faylyn Beyale (Fruitland, NM, Kirtland Central High School) is tied for 27th place at 11-over par 82 followed by Carissa Schwalm (Las Cruces, NM, Mayfield High School) (T33, 84) and Haley Raymond (Socorro, NM, Socorro High School) (T47, 88). Megan Downey (Glendale, AZ, Sandra Day O'Connor High School) rounds out the pack with a 90, good for 50th (tied).

Tarleton State leads the tournament at 15-over par 299. They are followed by Northeastern State (308), Angelo State (315), St. Edwards (320), West Texas A&M (324), St. Mary's (328), Western New Mexico and Incarnate Word (332), UH Hilo (348), Southwest Oklahoma State (354), and Texas A&M International (417).

Northeastern State's Whitney McAteer and Tarleton State's Melanie Tham are tied for medalist honors are 1-over par 73.
