Senior Audra Major (Socorro, NM, Socorro High School, Midland Community College) and junior Jeron McIntosh (Albuquerque, NM, La Cueva High School) are February's WNMU Athletes of the Month.

Major started the month with a double-double at CSU-Pueblo (22 points, 12 rebounds). Her numbers were equally as impressive two nights later at New Mexico Highlands when she notched 23 points and eight rebounds.

On February 11 against Western State, Major was challenged and posted only eight points, but she picked it up the remainder of the month as she produced at least 16 points each game in her last five games. Of those five games, she had two games with 25 points (New Mexico Highlands and Fort Lewis) and another with 22 (CSU-Pueblo).

She finished her last month in a purple and gold jersey averaging 19.9 points and 7.1 rebounds while playing 33.9 minutes a game.

Prior to February, McIntosh started in only one game and averaged 7.4 points in his 16 games played. He also averaged just 3.5 rebounds. In the month of February, however, McIntosh started all eight games. He averaged 16.0 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting .452 percent from the field.

McIntosh made a huge impact in the final four games of the season. In the thrilling win over visiting New Mexico Highlands, McIntosh notched 16 points and hauled in six boards. He sank eight of his 11 free throws. Two nights later he hit the game-tying layup in the first overtime to force a second against CSU-Pueblo. Fifteen of his 27 points came from the free throw line. On the night, he connected on 15 of his 17 freebies. Overall, he led the team in points (21.0) and rebounds (8.0) per game that week.

Last weekend McIntosh led the team in scoring both nights at Adams State and at Fort Lewis. He tallied 25 against ASC and 14 against FLC for a weekend average of 19.5 points.
