The men's basketball program will add a 6-6 forward to their roster for the season coming up. Head coach
Mark Coleman announced that Everett Duis signed with WNMU last week.
From El Paso, Texas, Duis comes from a high school program that recently became the winningest class in El Dorado basketball history. He was on the all-academic team in 2008-2009 and was an honorable mention selection in 2009-2010. His team played in the sweet sixteen in 2008-2009.
At El Dorado, Duis averaged 17.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting .740 from the floor. Duis also averaged 1.5 assists and steals per game.
“Everett is a very solid player who can go inside and out. He has good size, is strong so he can post up but he's also quick enough and can shoot the three-point shot, so he can play the small forward position. He comes from a very successful high school program where he should be able to make the transition to the college game. He will be a great addition to our program,” comments Coleman.
