Adams Grabs A Transfer

Head Coach Greg Adams

Head women's basketball coach Greg Adams announced the signing of Morgan Wohltman Wednesday. The 5-11 guard is a transfer from Idaho State.

“I am extremely excited that Morgan has chosen WNMU as her new home,” says Adams. “Her championship experience and ability to perform well in big games are assets that we are looking for as we build this program. She is a leader on the court, and she will fit in very well with our team and style of play. Additionally, she is a great performer in the classroom.”

This past season for the Bengals Wohltman played in 21 games and averaged 7.9 points and 2.2 rebounds. She led the team in three-point attempts and shot 37 percent from behind the arc. Wohltman's best performance came against Montana Western when she registered 15 points.

Originally from Gilbert, Arizona, Wohltman graduated from Highland High School in 2009. She was a four-year letterwinner and starter and voted the 5A Player of the Year as a junior and senior. She also was named first team all-state, All-Arizona team, and first team all-region those same years.

Wohltman led the team in scoring her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. For this, she was a McDonald's All-American nominee and received the Dr. Voie Stuart Chase Co-Scholar Athlete Award from the Arizona Interscholastic Association. Wohltman also helped lead her team to the 2007 and 2008 5A State Championships.
