The WNMU football team took a whole new approach to “spring cleaning”. At the beginning of May, new head coach, then defensive coordinator,
Adam Clark and assistant coach Marques Reischl took the team to the Silver City and Bayard areas to participate in a spring clean-up project.
The team did everything from pulling weeds and cutting grass to painting and helping build a water retaining wall at 18 different residences and put in over 300 hours of combined work.
“It was great to hear the positive feedback from residences,” says athletic director Scott Woodard. “This was a great way for the Mustangs to give back to the community that has supported them for so long. Also Coach Clark and Coach Reischl did a great job in coordinating this event.”
