Western New Mexico senior Scott Crichton (Dalgety Bay, Scotland, Inverkeithing High School) is May's Student-Athlete of the Month.

Crichton was placed on the GCAA's All-American team last week. A second-team selection, Crichton wrapped up a stellar four-year career for WNMU in May at the NCAA Championship with a 14th place finish (303, +15).

In addition to his new All-American status, Crichton received a prestigious degree completion award from the NCAA, which will cover the cost of his tuition this fall as he completes his undergraduate degree in cell and molecular biology. Crichton is the first WNMU student-athlete to receive this honor. He also received an RMAC degree completion award in the amount of $2000.

Crichton currently holds a 3.95 GPA and was the RMAC Men's Golf Academic Golfer of the Year this spring. Crichton posted a career 74.0 scoring average in 123 tournament rounds over his four years.
