The NFCA has announced the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA NCAA Division II All-Region teams. This year's teams are comprised of 207 student-athletes from 91 institutions spread out over the eight NFCA regions, with a first and second team for each region. WNMU's
Kaitlynn Barnes (Phoenix, AZ, Deer Valley High School) was placed on the Central Region Second Team in the utility/non-pitcher position.
Barnes, who placed on Third Team All-RMAC as a utility player last month, led the Mustangs in slugging percentage (.777), runs batted in (55), homeruns (17), and total bases (122). Barnes finished the regular season hitting .414 with 65 hits. Her 17 homeruns broke the single season homerun record at WNMU previously held by teammate
Kristina Barr (San Diego, CA/La Costa Canyon High School) and current assistant coach Meredith Reischl. Barnes was 10 for 10 in stolen bases. She only had seven strikeouts in 157 at-bats.
