LEXINGTON, Ken. – Angelina Pulu (Long Beach, CA/Robert A. Millikan High School) added another award being named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honorable mention team that was announced Wednesday.


Pulu joins eight other RMAC players on the South Central Region Team. This honor comes on the heels of her being named to the First-Team All-RMAC squad.


She led the team and the RMAC in kills with 455, kills per set with 4.17. She also led the Lady Mustangs in digs with 406, averaging 3.72 per set. In addition, she was amongst the team leaders in blocks with 52, including 14 solo and led the team in service aces with 21.


She had 19 double-doubles in kills and digs throughout the season. She posted six, 20-kill efforts and four, 20-dig efforts. Her high in kills of 27 came against Fort Lewis, while her top dig tally was posted against CSU-Pueblo with 29.


Following three seasons so far in her career, she has amassed 1,164 kills, having recorded over 400 the past two seasons.
