WNMU's Scott Crichton (Dalgety Bay, Scotland/Inverkeithing High School) (Dalgety Bay, Scotland) slipped to second place after posting a wind-blown, four-over round of 76 Saturday in prestigious Scottish Youths Championship. The 21-year senior-to-be was the leader after the opening round but caught the worst of the weather in round two.  After sneaking by most of the breezes Friday with an early tee time, he carded a two-under par 70 to best the top young players in his home country. The 72-hole event is being played at the par-72 Renfrew Golf Club.

 

Mustang teammate Steven Maxwell (Glasgow, Scotland/Bearsden Academy) (Glasgow, Scotland) finished strong to make the cut in the championship, posting a solid 75 Saturday to move up to T-36 out of the 118-player field.
