WNMU sophomore suffered a disappointing triple bogey 7 on her final hole to shoot 81 and let last year's champion, Kayla Cline, into the winner's circle for the second straight year in the Sun Country Women's Amateur Sunday in Socorro. Raymond led the field by a shot after Saturday's opening round and was in prime shape to take the title, but an errant drive found the out-of-bounds stakes on New Mexico Tech's short No. 18 and derailed her dreams of beating her old high school teammate.
Raymond, who heads back to school at WNMU after a solid freshman campaign, recorded a two-day total of 156, two shots off the lead and one shot behind Shania Berger who posted rounds of 77-79 finished secod.
