COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Faylyn Beyale (Fruitland, NM/Kirtland Central High School) was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Year as announced by the conference office Wednesday. Joining her on the All-RMAC teams,
Haley Raymond (Socorro, NM/Socorro High School) and
Arrianna Estrada (Belen, NM/Belen High School).
The junior from Fruitland, N.M., had an overall score of 456 which was 18-strokes better than second-place teammate Raymond. Beyale was the winner of the RMAC #1 hosted by CCU shooting a 147 and RMAC #3 hosted by Chadron State with a 155, as she was co-champion with teammate Estrada.
Raymond and Estrada were both named to the First-Team. Raymond, a junior from Socorro, N.M., posted a total score of 474 and she recently placed fifth at the RMAC Championships. She also won the Mustang Intercollegiate back on March 20. Estrada was only a point behind Raymond with an overall total score of 475. Aside from her co-champion finish with Beyale, she also had another solid finish in Texas where she tied for 14
th.
WNMU will now have time off before competing in the NCAA Division II Super Regional #3 that will be hosted by WNMU at the Sierra del Rio Golf Course in Elephant Butte, N.M.
