COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Freshman pitcher Domi Shone (Gold Canyon, AZ/Mesquite) was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Shone tossed both victories in the circle for the Lady Mustangs, as she opened the week with a solid six-inning effort, holding Fort Lewis to just two unearned runs on five hits in a 7-4 win. The next day, she took to the circle in both games, starting the first and picking up the win in a 8-0 five inning victory. She threw four innings, giving up just two hits, while posting a strikeout. In the final game of the series, Shone came on in relief to go 3.1 innings and allow just one hit.

WNMU will return to action this weekend when they will play at Lakewood, Colo., against both Colorado Christian and UCCS in doubleheaders first beginning on Saturday at 12 p.m.
